november 26th 2004 marked as the busiest day in the board so far. a total of 140 spams were created. :)

2nd busiest day is the 25th with 65 spams. keep it up guys.

yay! the board is a lot faster now.

load time used to be between 8 to a whooping 50 seconds per reload.

turned out it was the ms access driver problem. switched to ms jet engine and now it takes less than 2 seconds to load. bravo!

customization tool!!

yes! finally...!!

you can now customize the look of the board appear on your site. simply logon to http://www.xetronic.com/xettieboard with your username and password.

after you're in, just click on the "xettie βoard customization" link to customize the board. this is what you will see:

i am doing some customization works.

users can choose the background image they wanted

crap... it's slower than tag board right now.

yelled at freenet (my hosting provider) last week. and there's nothing they can do about it except there will be a new server coming in sometime in the future. they are gonna split some accounts onto the new server. hopefully that will fix the problem.

however, the straight thing is... only asp file with ms access got the problem. normal asp scripts are ok, in fact they are pretty fast. maybe their jet driver is outdated? only one way to find out. i'll check it myself.

javascript

i think i will change the board from a bunch of HTML code to a few lines of javascript... (too messy) with the option on letting the site owners to specify:

height and width

font type and color

number of messages to be displayed

now my worry is the browser compatibility issues... and security settings on browsers which do not allow offsite javascript to be loaded. :(

when will i implement it? dunno... just a thought right now. i need more time to finish my real job instead...
